Schedule
Have you ever wondered what Yukiko Okada was up to on any given day of the year? Wonder no more!
I have meticulously translated the schedules published in the pamphlet members of the Yukiko Okada fan club recieved. These are extremely valuable in providing a unique insight into Yukiko’s day-to-day activities as an idol.
I (foolishly) decided to go the extra mile and search for the corresponding video footage. For instance, if the schedule said Yukiko appeared on ‘Let’s Go Idol,’ I would look for that particular appearance on the internet. These are very inaccurate, especially for the earlier schedules, so just treat the 'corresponding video' as a bit of fun. Of course, a lot of footage is not online, or uploaded undated, but I’ve done my best.
I originally intended to post the translated schedule on the website, but Youtube can be dodgy with takedowns. As such, everything is in these Google Spreadsheets:
A few things to note:
- Dates for TV shows, radio shows etc. are the recording date, not the airdate.
- The schedule is non-exhaustive and subject to modification. Many of Yukiko’s activities are simply not recorded in the schedule. More exhaustive schedules were printed in popular idol magazines such as Dunk and Myojo, but I have not used those as the basis of my translation. There are also instances where the scheduled activity was re-arranged or, in rare cases, cancelled. As such, do not take what’s written here as gospel.
- As such, some months are emptier than others, with certain months (such as September 1985, March 1986) having very few entries. This does not mean Yukiko was less busy during this period, but that her schedule had not been finalised prior to the printing of the pamphlet.
